4340 "H" beam racing rods feature: rods and bolts are separately forged from quality chrome moly steel to obtain optimum grain flow. A total of 356 machining processes and state-of-the-art of final touches create the lightest rods in the racing industry. All big and small ends are finished with SUNNEN cross grinder. Bronze wrist pin bushings are made to with stand higher impact force. A third hole drilled at end of the bushing releases any air pockets from the bushing. Certified SAE 4340 steel, vacuum to remove impurities. All surfaces are 100% machined. Shot peened to stress relieve the metal.Multi Stage Heat Treated.Packaged in weight matched sets end to end +/- 1 gram
